2nd WWA Journal released

World Without Anger(WWA) released its journal volume-II entitled ‘Significance of Emotional Intelligence and Peace Education in Nepal’on June 2 2011. The chief guest of the program was Mr. Axel Plathe, Head of the UNESCO Office in Kathmandu and UNESCO Representative to Nepal released the journal in the program. The program was jointly organized by WWA and Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) while speaking from the side of the chief guest Mr. Plathe said that being free from Anger there is the possibility of bring changes in the society. Lisewise Special Guest Dr. Baburam Gautam, Chief in Social Department, KMC stressed that the program implemented by the WWA is very significance and must adopt by all of us. Prof. Dr. Triratna Manandhar, Vice-Chancellor is happy to associate more with WWA as the as same as motto of LBU. Dr. Laxman Shakaya, Program Director, WWA, Prof. Dr. M.P. Regmi, Chief Advisor of WWA, Dr. Kishwor Rajbhandari, President, GPA Nepal highlighted the program. Prof. Dr. Shreedhar Gautam has done the critical review of the journal, The program was presided and concluded by DM Basnet, President of WWA and Founder Patron Dr. Dean Van Leuven sent his message to read out in the program for the second WWA Journal. The program was conducted by Mr. Mukunda Raj Khanal, Program Co-ordinator of WWA.

The journal has covered emotional intelligence, Buddhism and wisdom imperial and scientific papers by the national and international researchers. At the end of the program, WWA donated valuable books to Lumbini Bauddha University. The program was possible to accomplish with the cooperation of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Kathmandu, Nepal, Dr. Rupali Jeswal, Thailand, World Emotional Literacy League, USA, Salt Trading Cooperation, Kathmandu, Panchakanya Steel Pvt. Ltd. and Valley Cold Store Pvt. Ltd.

3rd National Graduation Ceremony-2010

World Without Anger(WWA) presented the “3rd National Graduation Ceremony” of Life Without Anger Emotional Training Program(LWAETP) which was convened with Prof. Dr. Triratna Manandhar, Vice-Chancellor, Lumbini Bauddha University (LBU), Lumbini, Nepal, as chief guest of honor.

In this 3rd phase training program 850 students were graduated from 14 government and private schools. The purpose of the graduation ceremony was to distribute certificates to the graduated students after completing 3 months LWAETP training in their respective schools. Dr. Manandhar distributed certificates to the graduated and volunteers. He remarked that he was very happy to honor the graduated students for this training. He stated, “this kind of peace education program is very essential to create peace and harmony to settle the current scenario of Nepal’s conflict.” He suggested that this peace education should not be limited to Kathmnadu Valley schools but should also extend in other districts school students, which would be contributed for long lasting peace in near future through this educational system.

Likewise, Dr. Kishwor Rajbhandari, President, Global Peace Association who was the Special Guest at the Ceremony stressed that such kind of training program is adopted by WWA as a symbol of peace education programs for the students. It would be helpful to reduce individuals’ anger & fear which will ultimately nurture the overall peace development of Nepal and it should be shown interest by the Government of Nepal.

Prof. Dr. M.P. Regmi, Chief Advisor, WWA, Prof. Dr. Tulasiram Vaidya, Special Advisor, WWA, Dr. Laxman Shakya, Program Director, WWA were highlights of the program and activities. Similarly, program school principals/headmaster and program involved teachers and students shared their experiences and importance of the training program. This LWA Program is sponsored by the World Emotional Literacy League (WELL), USA and WWA members and corporate houses. Thus, WELL is only established to help and develop Emotional Literacy training program in order to restore peace and harmony in Nepal so Dr. Dean Van Leuven, Founder Patron is taking responsibility for Nepal’s peace process since 2007 A.D.

Mr. DM Basnet, Founder President, WWA and chairperson of the program suggested in his concluding remarks that of course, the root of cause of the conflict is anger and fear of individual’s so that if we were able to manage or handle these two problems we should not face any kinds of hurdle in our life. He stated that WWA is trying to comprise this methodology of teaching peace education through school students: Emotional Literacy Program. He would like to suggest Government of Nepal to the concerned authorities to practice this peace education curriculum as one of the compulsory subjects of the school curriculum or extra curricula activities for piloting from their side. He assured that this peace education will be helpful to maintain peace in heart and mind of individuals and will transform into their communities for sustainable peace in the country.

The graduation ceremony was conducted by Mr. Mukunda Raj Khanal, Sr. Program Coordinator, WWA and held in July 31 at Budanilkantha School.

WWA is scheduled to organize Conference called “Significance of Peace Education System in Nepal” on November 2010.

Early Child Development Training on Emotional Intelligence which was jointly organized by WWA and Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)

World Without Anger (WWA) and Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) organized jointly a two days training program on Early Child Development Training on Emotional Intelligence (ECDEI) in City Hall. with the cooperation of World Emotional Literacy League (WELL) U.S.A and Life Without Anger,USA where there were 15 teachers from KMC Drop-In -Center and 10 representatives from different children organization within and outside the valley in the participants of the training in the inaugural ceremony Mr. Bhim Lal Gurung, Deputy General Secretary of NETCOM for UNESCO was the chief of honor stressed that it is essential to boost up the children and handled them in a right way through trained teachers will be the weapons for the Up-growing children which leads them to the right path of their life. In the program a book called Life Without Anger (Kroodh Rahit Jeevan) written by Dr. Dean Van Leuven which was translated by Prof. Dr. Chudamani Bandhu, Prof. Dr. M.P.Regmi, and Asso.Prof. Uttam Bajagain. The book also won the prize of Visionary Award from U.S.A.in 2003 The book also released in the inaugural ceremony by Mr.Gurung. He also expressed that his interest to work in this new issue will be vital to manage anger and fear by replacing love and peace and reorganize the communities without anger free society. He will be happy to cope for the programs and activities from his position as capacity of Ministry of Education for UNESCO Cell of Government of Nepal.

Thus, Prof. Dr M.P Regmi, Chief advisor of WWA , Secretary General Mr. Bharat Giri, Prof .Dr.Tulasi Ram Vaidya, Special Advisor of WWA, Dr. Laxman Shakay, Program Director, Prof.Dr.Sishir Subba, Head, Department of Psychology, Tribhuvan University, Prof. Dr. Khadga Man Shrestha, Registrar, Lumbini Bauddha University. Dr. Mita Rana, Chief Consultant of Clinical Psychologist, Maharajgung Campus, TUTH, Prof.Dr.Chuda Mani Bandhu were highlighted the program and its activities through this model of educational materials to the nation and the World. Prof. Dr. Chuda Mani Bandhu expressed as a chief translator of Kroodh Rahit Jeevan book is very useful even for general people to remove their anger and fear to make their day to day life calm and happy.

In the concluding session, Great Literary Figure and Entrepreneur Mr. Rabi Charan Shrestha distributed certificates to the 2 days' trained teachers. Accordingly, Mr. Shrestha expressed while speaking as a chief guest of concluding session that the implementation of the ideas is excellent to nurture the early child to build the nation free from anger and fear as a peace builders by the modality of emotional intelligence education program for the ultimate goal of peace and harmony in the country. As one of the representatives from participants Mr. Shiva Prasad Subedi from Health Awareness Nepal said that they received a lot of things from the ECD Training which will be a great help even for their individuals' day to day life. The concluding remarks of Mr. Surya Prakash Adhikari, Vice President of WWA and Chairperson of the program said that Child Psychology of Understanding is not only essential for school and college teachers but also parents, guardians, and school administration. Thus, WWA is planning to implement advance level of ECD training program on Emotional Intelligence to the primary school teachers in around KMC under the cooperation of KMC in near future. The Program Co-coordinator of WWA Mr.Mukunda Prasad Sharma thanks to all the resource persons from different universities including participants as well as all those who supported the program directly or indirectly in his vote of thanks.

3rd Annual Life Without Anger Emotional Training Program(LWAETP) Accomplished

World Without Anger (WWA) and Lumbini Bauddha University (LBU) jointly organized 2 days training program in December 5, 2009 on 3rd Annual “Life Without Anger Emotional Training Program (LWAETP)” for 40 teachers and five Drop-In Centers, Kathmandu Metropolitan City teachers in order to nurture the 800 school students and 250 Drop-In Centers students through trained teachers. The introduction of emotional literacy training in the schools of Nepal by WWA in Association With LBU and with the support of World Emotional
Literacy League (WELL), USA. WWA’s objective is to teach Emotional Literacy to the children of Nepal. Ensuring the each child has a fundamental understanding of anger and other negative emotions will help them to lead a life that is peaceful, meaningful, and joyful. Emotional Literacy helps us to advance personally and as a society as much, it not more, than does the ability to read and do mathematics. Nepal is the first country in the world to introduce this training on a national level. The overall goal is to create aculture that will not only allow individuals to lead a more effective and rewarding life, but will also ultimately create world peace.
In the inaugural ceremony, WWA released conference paper called (Development of Emotional Literacy in this Millennium) the World Without Anger Journal named “Emotional Intelligence & Wisdom in Buddhism” These papers are original research work on emotional intelligence, Buddhists wisdom and Therabad Buddhism which was editing by Prof. Dr. M.P.Regmi as an Editor in Chief and also stressed this is the pioneer researched work on Emotional Intelligence in Nepal done by World Without Anger.
Mr. Laxmi Das Mnandhar, Chairperson of Salt Trading Corporation, who was the Chief Guest of Program, stated that this kind of Emotional Intelligence training program should make coverage all of the Nepal’s government and private schools including business communities. He trusts, this type of education system contributes to restore peace and harmony in the country and world which is already started model of peace education first time in Nepal. He also added that private business sectors and government should corporate this kind mission to bring light of sustainable peace in the country.
Similarly, Prof. Dr. Khadga Man Shrestha, Register, Lumbini Bauddha University, Lumbini, in his welcoming speech said that he is happy to work with WWA to take part in Emotional Intelligence program which helps to understand how our emotional system functions as Buddha’s philosophy of peace. Once we learned how it works we shall be able to develop the necessary understanding to teach each individual how to understand and make changes in the way they function emotionally so they can
optimize their life experiences. Former Vice Chancellor of LBU Prof. Dr. Tulsi Ram Vaidya, Special Advisor of WWA stated that this is the right time to explore these kinds of education mechanism all over the country through school children to bring peace and prosperity in the days ahead.
Thus, Dr. Laxman Shakya, Program Director, WWA stated in his thanks giving speech that Anger is to be mitigated from our society through every possible ways. One of the program schools’ principals Mr. Narayan Prasad Sharma, Budhanilkantha School in his appeal in audience said such Emotional Intelligence Training program should be launched from the grassroots level like students in nationwide.

Presences are the representative from including social organization and NGOs and INGOs as well. The program was chaired by Mr. DM. Basnet, President of WWA . In his concluding remarks of inaugural ceremony said WWA is adopting this methodology as Peace Education Model to propagate peace and harmony through out the country and the day to day life implementing through initial School Children. It is vital at the moment to adapt this education to cut off the transitional period for making the country free from any kinds of disaster including social and political hurdles”

In the concluding session of the training program, Dr. Babu Ram Gautam, Deputy Chief, Kathmandu Metropolitan City was the chief guest and stated that this is a very useful training program to all of us not only teachers. He was very happy to have training for Drop-In Centers’ teachers and volunteers by the WWA, LWAETP is essential to provide as a therapy for other psychological issues commonly found to affect indentured servants. Also distributed certificates by the Chief Guest to the trainees.

Accordingly, Program Coordinator Mr. Mukunda Prasad Sharama spoke in the program Emotional balance is necessary to run the life smoothly for every individual, teachers, students, youths, and old as well.
Concluding remarks of Vice President Mr. Surya Prakash Adhikari highlighted that WWA is planning to provide advance level of training program on Emotional Intelligence in near future to the school and college teachers to develop their existing interests, knowledge and skills to reach every nook and corner of the Himal, Terai, and Hill as a peace keepers.

First Conference on Emotional Intelligence held in Nepal.

 World Without Anger (WWA) established in 2007 and collaborated with Lumbini Bauddha University (LBU) in 2009 has organized a one-day conference on August 15, 2009. Lalitpur, Nepal. The theme of conference was “Development of Emotional Literacy in this Millennium.” Prof. Dr. Tulasiram Vaidya was the chief guest of the program. Prof. Dr. Vaidya stated that we should promote peace all over the world using schools children as agents. The programme chaired by DM Basnet, Founder President; WWA stated that Nepal has a unique history of being able to resolve conflict in a more peaceful manner than other societies. At the demand of situation of Nepal was chosen first country to implement this revolutionary new concept is adopting this methodology to propagate peace and harmony in the workplace and the day to day life.
Speaking on the occasion, other various scholars and school and university teachers were spoke about the development of Emotional Intelligence from school to university level by adopting this course in the school curriculum.

WWA is collaborated with Chunamuna Monthly Magazine in the ceremony by publishing children’s article, write up and activities related with WWA in the school to spread of peace and harmony inside and outside the country through Emotional Intelligence.

Five Speakers presented on the themes of emotional intelligence (Prof. Dr. Murari Prasad Regmi), Promoting of Inclusive Education related to UNESCO and Life Without Anger Concept (Mr. Shaligram Bhattarai), Buddha’s path of wisdom (Prof. Dr. Khadga Man Shrestha, LBU), Role and impact of anger on daily life (Dr. Sanu Bhai Dongol) and role of spiritual science in dealing with anger and emotional intelligence (Mr. Ram Bahadur Basnet, CFA). The paper presenting was chaired by Dr. Niranjan Upadhyaya, Public Service Commission). In first paper, Prof. Dr. Regmi emphasized anger free environment for students’ learning. Anger is a hurdle for success. Prof. Khadga Man Shrestha emphasized that the Buddha had self-realization and superb wisdom.
This conference was attended by more than 150 participants including students, Professors, administrators, bank employees, officers and management experts. This conference emphasized emotional learning and the skills of emotional management at workplace.

The program was successful with the cooperation of Future Stars High School, Landmark Educational Consultancy, Putalisadak, Neeha Computer Traders Pvt. Ltd, Hadock Dining& Bar and WWA Volunteers, and other program school.

Emotional Intelligence(EI) Presentation to Cardiologists

 Nepal Heart Foundation, and Heart Club Nepal, Lalitpur was invited World Without Anger(WWA) to present the paper on Emotional Intelligence in the subject of " Welcome To A New Life" where more than 50 Cardiologist Doctors were presnented and disscussed on the subject matter in the program. Mr. Shaligram Bhattarai, Advisor/Expert/Psycologist presented the paper which was held in June 2009.
