Pilot Program and its Implementation
WWA is implementing a pilot program of the Emotional Intelligence education program in two private and one government school using the WWA Life Without Anger Student Manual.
The schools are selected strategically from different locations. The names of the schools are:
- Kathmandu Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Baneshwor, Kathmandu- Urban
- Future Stars High School, Lalitpur, Semi- Urban
- Kali Devi Higher Secondary School, Kavrasthali- Semi-Rural
The program is conducted for grade 7, 8, and 9 students based on a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the three schools. Each school has 60 students in the program for a total of 180 students. Each student was administered a Pre-Test relating to existing beliefs and knowledge of the course contents. At the completion of the program a Post-Test will be administered to the students for evaluation of their life skills on Emotional Intelligence. The program is scheduled to be completed in the 1st week of February, 2008. WWA has provided the Program Kits including the WWA Life Without Anger Student Manual and the necessary supplies for each student.
On completion of the program WWA will conduct a graduation ceremony and award certificates of completion to each graduate. |
