Teachers’ Training Program Jointly Organized by WWA and Future on Life Without Anger Emotional Training Program (LWAETP)

WWA and Future Stars High School has jointly organized one day’s Life Without Anger Emotional Training Program (LWAETP) on 8th March 2010, It was held to build up effective classroom practice through emotionally trained teachers. 61 teachers have participated from Future Stars High School who were oriented by the experts of psychology department oTribhuvan University and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgung. Mr. Bhimsen Das Pradhan, Co-coordinator, Local Peace Committee, Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction, Government of Nepal was the Chief Guest of the program and the program was chaired by Ms. Manju Karki Lamichhane. Thus, Mr. DM Basnet, Founder President was the Special Guest of the program. Prof. Dr. Tulasi Ram Vaidya and Dr. Laxman Shakya were chaired the different sessions. In the first session, Prof.Dr. Shirshir Subba, Head, Psychology Department, Tribhuvan University, Ms. Mita Rana, Chief Consultant, Clinical Psychologist, Dept. Psychiatric, Teaching Hospital, T.U. Prof.Dr. M.P. Regmi, Chief Advisor, Advisory Committee, WWA. Dr. Niranjan Pd. Upadhaya, Joint Secretary (Chief Psychologist), Public Service Commission, Government of Nepal conducted the LWA Program. Basically the training program was based on Life Without Anger Emotional Training Program (LWAETP) which helped to equip the school teachers.

Mr. Pradhan, Chief Guest stated that such program to be the milestone for building the peace and prosperity in the country. He emphasized for the implementation of training’s result in the classroom practice as well as their daily life, so that the desired goal can be achieved in time and Mr. Pradhan added that Local Peace Committee is interested to collaborate with WWA for the expansion of LWAET Program in other few schools in around Kathmandu District.. Mr. DM Basnet, Founder President, WWA, Special Guest, presented the overall achievement of WWA. He stressed that LWA using the concept in dealing with psychological/emotional problems in the outdoor/indoor patients

in the hospital and health centers in removing stress and reducing blood pressures in result create joyful, peaceful and calm in the minds and heart of people and the workplace for the sustainable peace and prosperity in humankind. However, Emotional Intelligence, an emerging topic in leadership development of any nature of leader is the most important attribute of a successful leader. It is because these skills and traits those set the leader apart and leads to his/her success.

The program was highlighted by Prof. Dr. Tulasi Ram Vaidya, Special Advisor, Advisory Committee, WWA, Guest,Mr. Shivendra Karki, Sr. Teacher, Future Stars High School, Lalitpur, Guest, Dr. Niranjan Pd. Upadhaya, Joint Secretary, (Chief Psychologist), Public Service Commission, Government of Nepal, Guest. Mr. Chuda Shrestha, one of the participants, shared the impact of training program on him. . He expressed his expectation that such program will happen time and again in his school and others so that they can be enlighten to bring the expected result through classroom practice. Ms. Manju Karki Lamichhane, Chairperson of the program, in her concluding remarks highly appreciated the program and valued for the output of such program in the effectiveness of classroom exercise, she added these kinds of program should be initiated in the whole schools of Nepal.
