First Conference on Emotional Intelligence held in Nepal.

World Without Anger (WWA) established in 2007 and collaborated with Lumbini Bauddha University (LBU) in 2009 has organized a one-day conference on August 15, 2009. Lalitpur, Nepal. The theme of conference was “Development of Emotional Literacy in this Millennium.” Prof. Dr. Tulasiram Vaidya was the chief guest of the program. Prof. Dr. Vaidya stated that we should promote peace all over the world using schools children as agents. The programme chaired by DM Basnet, Founder President; WWA stated that Nepal has a unique history of being able to resolve conflict in a more peaceful manner than other societies. At the demand of situation of Nepal was chosen first country to implement this revolutionary new concept is adopting this methodology to propagate peace and harmony in the workplace and the day to day life.
Speaking on the occasion, other various scholars and school and university teachers were spoke about the development of Emotional Intelligence from school to university level by adopting this course in the school curriculum.

WWA is collaborated with Chunamuna Monthly Magazine in the ceremony by publishing children’s article, write up and activities related with WWA in the school to spread of peace and harmony inside and outside the country through Emotional Intelligence.

Five Speakers presented on the themes of emotional intelligence (Prof. Dr. Murari Prasad Regmi), Promoting of Inclusive Education related to UNESCO and Life Without Anger Concept (Mr. Shaligram Bhattarai), Buddha’s path of wisdom (Prof. Dr. Khadga Man Shrestha, LBU), Role and impact of anger on daily life (Dr. Sanu Bhai Dongol) and role of spiritual science in dealing with anger and emotional intelligence (Mr. Ram Bahadur Basnet, CFA). The paper presenting was chaired by Dr. Niranjan Upadhyaya, Public Service Commission). In first paper, Prof. Dr. Regmi emphasized anger free environment for students’ learning. Anger is a hurdle for success. Prof. Khadga Man Shrestha emphasized that the Buddha had self-realization and superb wisdom.
This conference was attended by more than 150 participants including students, Professors, administrators, bank employees, officers and management experts. This conference emphasized emotional learning and the skills of emotional management at workplace.

The program was successful with the cooperation of Future Stars High School, Landmark Educational Consultancy, Putalisadak, Neeha Computer Traders Pvt. Ltd, Hadock Dining& Bar and WWA Volunteers, and other program school.
